There were three major reasons people were being sent to Mars:

  1. to help establish on Mars an extraterrestrial defense regime protecting Earth
  2. to create a basis under public international law to claim Mars as US territory by sending temporary visitors and permanent settlers there
  3. to acclimate Martian humanoids and animals to our presence.[1]

From 1981 to 1983, the young attendees then went on to teleport to Mars via an aeronautical repositioning chamber (ARC), later dubbed the “jump room” by Bill Ryan, located in a building occupied by Hughes Aircraft at 999 N. Sepulveda Boulevard in El Segundo, California, adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).[1][2] The entrance to said facility was called “The Corkscrew”.[1]
